For the 91st installment of the STYLSS Mix Series, we invited Portland via Chicago queer DJ, mentor, and organizer Lindsay Bailey aka leeonn to join us. With over ten years of involvement in dance music, they recently wrapped up their 3rd season DJ/hosting Night Service on Freeform Portland Radio; a blend of techno, house, & electro showcasing LGBTQIA2s+ and BIPOC folx. Citing their experience as an intern for The Blessed Madonna and someone who embraces the history of dance music, they have prepared a fun hour long mix to flex their journey as a DJ over the years.
“I dive into a bit of personal nostalgia with this mix which is a direct response to the last year and a half in the Panasonic. I selected specific tracks from artists that have, in one way or another, been a part of my weird journey as a DJ over the years. Leaning into multi-genre sets, this mix is another exploration in finding freedom through emotionally driven tracks and reconnecting mind, body, and soul – free of expectations.
